Great for potty training, Velcro tabs great for washing Review by Bethany
I recently ordered more hybrid hook and loop closure covers. They work great on my wriggly 10mo but also worked great for toilet training with my older child. I found that training pants weren't able to hold the amount of liquid my older child was letting go of during her nap. The hook & loop were great because she could still take them off herself if she woke up and had to use the toilet. I love the Velcro wash tabs - much more efficient than pinning them down! Just make sure that the Velcro lies flat underneath the tab or it will pick up fuzz. (Posted on 1/27/2017)
I hate all other velcro diapers, BUT THIS ONE!Review by Mom of Three
I love the versatility of hybrids. You can use a soaker, prefold, FST or fitted! The velcro is soo dreamy!! The laundry tabs are super helpful in preserving the velcro and not sticking to other diaper laundry. The crotch of hybrids are the thinnest I've come across which I imagine is more comfortable for baby! Bonus, Grovia prints are so cute!! (Posted on 12/9/2016)
Simple, quick changes!Review by 4boysandagirl
We love the hook & loop hybrid shells for quick changes. They are especially wonderful during the newborn stage when you are sleepily changing diapers in the middle of the night. We always get a perfect fit with these, they are so stretchy and comfortable and just conform to baby so well. Caregivers/grandparents for our kids prefer these as well because it is so simple and hard to get a bad fit. The quality is right on with every other GroVia product we have used and last through multiple children! (Posted on 11/10/2016)
these make cloth diapering easy!Review by Stacy
I love that you just have to snap a shell in the shell and its all ready to go,makes it super easy when I'm not home and someone else has to change our daughter. I love that I can get two uses out of the shell, which makes it cheaper to CD. The velcro is very well made out of all the h&l's I have used. Love the fold in laundry tab so it doesn't get ruined. All in all,dep a great diaper! (Posted on 8/5/2016)
Great for Overnight (so far!)Review by Lilian
Now that my little guy (10 weeks old) has been sleeping for longer stretches at night, I have been using the hook & loop hybrid with the stay dry inserts at night to keep him dry while he sleeps. I feel better knowing that he's not wet and he probably feels more comfortable! They have been washing very well so far. Love how easy the hook & loop is to get a perfect fit! (Posted on 7/28/2016)
love these!Review by Elizabeth
I love using the Hook and Loop to get a better fit on little legs. The print options are wonderful. Most of my stash is Hook and Loop Grovia! (Posted on 6/24/2016)
Great System For Travelling!Review by Erin
Love using the hybrid shell system over the other diaper systems grovia offers for my daytime daily diaper needs. (I really like the others grovia offers too, but for different reasons). I am a mom who travels all over the globe with kid in tow frequently. I like ease, reliability and convenience in my unpredictable life. (Mission Impossible is a common theme song in our household.) For one I just love the bright colors and dynamic patterns. From a convenience standpoint, I like that I can use one or two shells in one day and just replace the insert for each diaper change. The super quick to adjust aplix (Velcro) is no fuss and a no brainer. I love that you can swap out your desired absorbency or conscinciously made disposable insert based on your specific need, but be able to still use your favorite color/ pattern shell. The shell and snap in absorbency is not as bulky as other diapers. Washing is a breeze... Especially since the shells dry so quickly! No need to fold anything (who has time to fold and stuff!). The snap in absorbency is fantastic, especially for a little one's wiggley bum! Being a first time mom, the ease of use and solid dependabilty of this system really gave me confidence to cloth diaper! (As well as prove to the naysayers how exponentially better these things capture poop than a sposie time and time again! That was a major selling/ convincing point for my husband) I would highly recommend the AI2 system for ease of use, quality and overall "best bang for your buck." (Posted on 6/7/2016)
LoveReview by Miranda
This is a great shell! The ease and convenience of the Velcro closure make this diaper perfect! I find the Velcro closure especially great when leaving baby with dad or someone unfamiliar with cloth diapering, because it is so similar to throw away diapers.
Great diaper she'll with great functionality! (Posted on 6/2/2016)
Great for newborns too!Review by Alanna
These shells are very economical, because you can use them from very small (8lbs for my son) with inexpensive prefolds, so you don't really need to spend the extra investment for newborn diapers (which are much more expensive than prefolds). We started using the snap-in soakers around 10lbs. These are also great for grandparents and daycare providers because the H&L is very intuitive for people accustomed to disposables. We pre-assemble the snap in soakers into the shells for daycare, so that it's like an all in one, and have had great success (the actual AIOs are hard for people not used to the diapers, due to the side snaps). These shells (H&L and snap) have always fit my son well, whereas we've had some issues with the AIO fit at times. The H&L shells from my first son are still usable for my second son, but are showing some wear on the H&L (which is normal). Our snap shells from my first son still look like new, but weren't as easy to get a good fit on a newborn. Overall these are great shells (both H&L and snap), and we are happy to have them. Love!Review by Jen
We love these diapers! The hook and loop and snap in inserts make it easy for anyone that might change her diaper. We definitely reach for these the most (Posted on 5/31/2016)
Velcro stays stickyReview by Meg
I usually prefer snaps but have a couple Velcro shells. The more recent of the shells (like the last line of colors that are now retired), when using the tabs correctly during wash, the Velcro has stayed sticky and the wings sturdy so they have kept their shape. I have seen some that the tabs do not look new, but ours still do! (Posted on 4/22/2016)
So easy to useReview by Kerri
The H&L shells are so easy to use. The H&L is so soft and allows for a sung, perfect fit on baby. I definitely recommend these shells to everyone. (Posted on 4/14/2016)
Love theseReview by Jen
The h&l hybrid shells are amazing. The h&l part is so soft, yet strong, and I love the laundry tabs so the h&l doesn't get caught on anything else in the wash. Sizing is very generous, but fits small babies very well too. I have both snap and h&l shells, and I love both, but h&l allows me to get that perfect fit every time! (Posted on 4/12/2016)
Great fit and easy to useReview by Joy
The quality of Grovia's hook & loop is amazing and truly unique. The closure is similar to disposables, and they are easily adjusted and result in a great fit. I love the contrast of the tabs and landing strip against the prints. They do require a bit more care than the snap shells to avoid pilling. The integrated laundry tabs are very helpful. Great for starting out! Switch to snaps for longer life span. Review by Erika
We started with hook and loop when we first started cloth diapering. We loved them! They were very forgiving as we learned how to get the right fit on our son. They are still in our rotation and have held up well with the right care, but we only buy snap shells now since they seem to be the longer lasting investment. (Posted on 4/11/2016)
H&L for the win with a perfect fit!Review by Leslie
We love using a mix of both snap shells and H&L, but find we get our best fit with the H&L. I also appreciate that this is an easy to use diaper for caregivers (husbands, grandparents, babysitters, day care providers) because it is most similar to a disposable diaper that many are familiar with. The body of the diaper is not bulky and fits all types of inserts well (prefolds, soakers, flats, boosters, etc.). If washed and cared for properly, the stickiness of the hook and loop will last a long time. (Posted on 4/7/2016)
Great diaper shellReview by Caitlin
I love the Grovia hybrids! They have fit my son well since we started with them at 5 weeks old! He is now a chunky 7 month old and they still provide a great fit. The hook & loop is strong and the wide landing strip makes it easy to customize the fit. We have used them with all 3 grovia hybrid soakers (stay dry, organic cotton, and no prep) as well as an assortment of prefolds, and all have worked well. I also love using them as a swim diaper! We have several of these and they have held up well to washing over the past six months. Elastics are still nice and tight and the hook and loop works great. I wasn't very good about using the laundry tabs initially but quickly learned to do that to keep the hook and loop nice! Overall an awesome diaper cover. I am leaning more towards snaps now because my little guy recently learned how to remove his hook and loop diapers...but for a squirmy little baby hook and loop is definitely the easiest option. Best All Around DiaperReview by Aimee
I am new to cloth diapering, and I tried so many brands and types. I wish I would have stuck with my original hunch, which was to use GroVia Hook and Loop Shells. They are my go-to, all around diaper. In my opinion, this is the best fit you can get. My husband doesn't mind using these - they don't confuse him like the others. I love the versatility with the insert options, and the prints/colors are adorable. We started these on our son when he was 6 weeks old, and he's 9 months now. The fit continues to be perfect, and we don't have leaks or blowouts. They are trim, and you have the option to use organic inserts. Checks off all the boxes on my list! (Posted on 4/7/2016)
easy to use Review by jill
So easy to use. I send these with my LO when she is at the sitter's(sitter has never used cloth), and she has no problem with them! (Posted on 4/7/2016)
So Easy to Use Even Grandpa can Change DiapersReview by Jasmine
I love the hook and loop shell for a less skilled cloth diaper changer. Part time caregivers like sitters and grandparents can honor our desire to cloth while still having the easy of a disposable. Just pre-stuff your shells and, even, Grandpa can cloth like a pro. (Posted on 4/7/2016)
