For example, dark spots on the rainbow are caused by mineral deposits. This means that if the tree had grown further, a branch would have developed at this point.
Black stripes are also something completely natural. This is the so-called pith tube or "heart of the tree". It differs from the surrounding wood by the darker color and structure. When working on the wood, it can become completely or partially visible. This feature is part of the natural appearance of the wood. Therefore, these are not defects for Grimm's, but quality features of a natural product and as such are desired and welcome by them. We love this uniqueness of wood!
I bought this as my daughters first Grimm’s toy as it’s on the cheaper side for the brand and was unsure if the pricier items were worth it- they are. The quality is unmatched and my little one absolutely loves it, for now all she can do is play with the peg people and knock over the boat, but that alone keeps her entertained for quite a while. Will definitely be adding more Grimm’s to our collection and this was a great intro piece for us.

My kiddo loves taking three people in and out
three people are hit at our home. Kiddo's (16 mo) fav thing is to take them out, then put them back in and repeat by switching their places in the boat. She also loves how it wobbles with a soft touch. Oh....its one of the toys she is allowed to "eat". (I mean mouth..., she puts them in her mouth and says eating..:)
Grimm's have never disappointed us.

Excellent intro to Grimm's
I had been eyeballing Grimm's products for a while, but everything was sold out everywhere. I saw this three friends in boat and thought "why not?" Well, my 9mo loves it! It's perfect. Not overwhelming like so many toys. He loves to take them out and mouth them (not their intended purpose, I'm aware haha), or watch me move the boat around and sing a little song. I was SO impressed by the fast shipping! Wow! I will continue to order more Grimm's from TNBC!
