FROSH can be used in 3 modes: Up to 10 fl oz, 10-14 fl oz or up to 24 fl oz.
Up to 10 fl oz / 295 ml
Fill the inner chamber with up to 10 oz of breastmilk. Fill the outer container with enough ice to be in contact with the bottom of the inner chamber (~6-10 ice cubes). Then add water to the outer chamber to the max fill line. Place inner chamber into outer chamber and screw on lid. Milk will stay chilled (below 59°F) for 10-15 hours depending on the initial temperature of the milk. If placing in a refrigerator, remove the inner chamber and place only the inner chamber in the fridge to ensure proper refrigeration.
10-14 fl oz / 295 - 414 ml
Fill outer chamber with 10-14 oz breastmilk, without exceeding the max fill line. For anything less than 10 oz, please use the <10 oz mode to ensure the milk is properly chilled. Fill the inner chamber with as much ice as possible then add water until full. Milk will stay chilled (below 59°F) for 15-17 hours, depending on the initial temperature of the milk.

The 24 oz mode can be used to keep pre-chilled milk cool or to keep breastmilk warm.
For chilled milk: Make sure that your milk is chilled to 34.5°F or less. Do not add warm milk to already chilled milk. Pre-chilled milk will stay chilled (below 59°F) for 15-19 hours.
For warm milk: Pour directly pumped fresh milk into the outer chamber. It can be kept safely for 3-4 hours before needing refrigeration. If milk was previously refrigerated and then warmed, it should be used within 2 hours.
How long can I store my milk in the Chiller?
The Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine states that breastmilk can be kept at 59ºF for up to 24 hours. FROSH can keep 10 fl oz of milk below that temperature for 10-15 hours, 14 fl oz of milk for 15-17 hours, and 24 fl oz of pre-chilled milk for 15-19 hours. The length of safe storage varies based on the initial temperature of the milk. If you need to keep your milk cold for longer than that, please add more ice to the chiller. After that point, it's important to transfer your milk to the fridge (in a non-insulated container).
Is FROSH dishwasher safe? Can I sterilize it?
Yes, all parts of FROSH are dishwasher safe. We do not recommend steam sterilizing or boiling, as it can affect the vacuum seal. UV sterilizers are fine, however.
